Does TallyPrime have an API you can build on?

Not in the way most web software does. TallyPrime can run as a server that accepts XML requests over HTTP, which is how other systems create vouchers in it and ask it for data, and it can expose its data over ODBC to tools that query it. Those requests go to the TallyPrime installation that holds your books, so it has to be running and reachable from wherever the connector runs.

Our connector sits between that interface and your CRM, app or portal, on the listed Tally and Node stack. Which system it connects, and which events in that system should become a voucher, is settled on the scope call and written into the proposal.

What happens to a transaction on its way into Tally?

First it is translated into Tally’s terms. The customer, supplier and product names in your system are mapped to the ledgers and stock items that already exist in Tally, so a sale lands against the right party and the right item instead of creating a near-duplicate. GST fields such as GSTIN and HSN codes are validated before anything is posted, because a voucher with a bad GST field is harder to correct once it is in the books.

Then it is posted as a sales, purchase or receipt voucher. Anything Tally rejects goes to an error queue instead of disappearing: it is retried, and an alert goes out when it needs a person. A daily reconciliation report compares what your system sent with what Tally holds, so a gap shows up within a day rather than at month-end.

What does the integration not cover?

The package covers sales, purchase and receipt vouchers and the ledger and item mapping they depend on. Other voucher types, custom TDL screens or reports inside Tally, and sending Tally data back into your app are not in the feature list; if you need them, they are scoped on the call. A TallyPrime licence is not part of the price either.

If your Tally sits on an office PC that is switched off at night, posts that fail while it is off go to the error queue and are retried. Tally on Cloud Migration (₹7,000, up to 7 days) moves the same Tally off the office PC to a cloud server, reachable from anywhere.

Which package fits if your problem is slightly different?

If the invoices you want in Tally arrive as PDFs and scans rather than from an app, Document & Data-Entry Automation (₹16,000) reads them and posts the fields, with human review for low-confidence items.
