The details
02What does a payroll month look like after setup?
Attendance and leave come in from where you record them, salaries are computed on the structures agreed during setup, and the statutory deductions (PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS) are calculated alongside. Payslips are generated for each employee, and challan and return-ready exports are produced for whoever deposits the dues and files the returns.
At year end, Form 16 is generated from the same records, so the TDS certificate reflects what was deducted through the year. When someone leaves, the full and final settlement flow brings their last salary, leave position and deductions together in one place instead of a separate spreadsheet.
Why start with the salary structure?
Because every later number depends on it. CTC modelling breaks each role’s cost to company into components (basic pay, allowances, employer contributions), and those components decide how PF, ESI and TDS are worked out. Getting the structure right before the first run is easier than correcting deductions afterwards, and it shows what an offer actually costs before you make it.
Professional tax rules differ from state to state, so the states you employ people in are part of the scope call. The listed stack is Zoho with Node; if you already use a payroll or HR tool, tell us which, and how it fits is settled before the proposal is written.
What is not included, and who runs payroll each month?
This is a setup, not a monthly payroll service. The package builds and configures the system; running payroll each month, depositing PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS, and filing the returns are not in the feature list, which is why it ends in challan and return-ready exports for your team or your CA. Employee self-service apps and expense or reimbursement workflows are not included either, and the rules configured are the ones you and your CA confirm, not labour-law advice from us.
Who is it for?
The package is most often built for manufacturing, professional services and healthcare employers: places where attendance drives pay, people join and leave through the year, and a payroll spreadsheet that only one person understands is a real risk. Delivery is up to 7 days from the signed proposal, as on the package card, and you work directly with the founder, on a shared board, throughout.

FAQ
04What does payroll setup cost?
Payroll & Statutory Setup starts at ₹12,000 and is delivered within 7 days. It helps to know the states you employ people in and where attendance is recorded today, since professional tax and the attendance integration depend on both. Your fixed price arrives in writing after a 15-minute scope call.
Is this payroll outsourcing?
No. We set the system up and hand it over; your team runs payroll each month. If you would rather someone else processed it, your CA could work from the same system and its exports. What the handover covers is agreed on the scope call and written into the proposal.
Which attendance system does it connect to?
Attendance and leave integration is part of the package, but the source varies from one employer to the next: a biometric device’s export, an HR tool or a spreadsheet. Which one you use is settled on the scope call and written into the proposal, so there is no surprise about what connects.
Does it handle professional tax in every state?
PT computation is included, and it is set up for the states where you employ people. The rules differ by state, and some states do not levy professional tax at all, so we confirm the list with you on the scope call rather than assume one rule for everyone.
Can it generate Form 16 for employees?
Yes. Form 16 is generated from the same payroll records used for TDS every month, so the certificate each employee receives reflects what was actually deducted from their salary. Payslips come from the same data, so the monthly and annual documents agree with each other.
What happens when an employee leaves?
The full and final settlement flow brings the final salary, leave position and deductions together, so the settlement can be worked out and approved in one place rather than rebuilt by hand. How your policy treats notice periods and leave encashment is agreed on the scope call.
