Amazon to Tally integration, with Flipkart and your stock in step

Two packages cover this. Tally Integration & Automation (from ₹12,000, up to 30 days) posts marketplace sales, fees and settlements into TallyPrime with ledger mapping and GST checks. Retail & Marketplace Stock Sync (from ₹50,000, up to 30 days) keeps one stock number across Amazon, Flipkart, your store and your own site.

The details

01

Why doesn’t the bank statement tell you what you sold?

Because a marketplace pays you net. Amazon and Flipkart deduct their commissions and fees, shipping charges, tax collected at source and the value of returns before a settlement reaches your bank, and one payout covers many orders. Post only the bank credit and your sales, your marketplace expenses and your GST are all understated in Tally, and nothing in the books says which orders were actually paid.

The fix is to post the gross picture: each sale with its GST, each fee as an expense with the GST charged on it, each return against the sale it reverses, and the settlement as a receipt that ties them together. Amazon’s Merchant Tax Report (MTR) and the marketplaces’ settlement reports carry that detail; which source the connector reads for each marketplace is agreed on the scope call.

Which package do you need first?

If the pain is in the accounts — month-end reconciliation, fees you can’t see, sales figures that don’t tie back to Tally — start with Tally Integration & Automation at ₹12,000. It gives each marketplace fee head its own ledger, maps parties and items to what already exists in Tally, checks the GST on each line before anything is posted, holds and retries whatever Tally refuses, and shows each day which settlements are fully matched.

If the pain is in operations — overselling, a product still live on Flipkart after the last unit sold on Amazon, returns that never make it back into stock — Retail & Marketplace Stock Sync at ₹50,000 is the one. It links each marketplace and your shop’s point of sale to one stock figure updated in near real time, keeps a buffer so the last unit is not sold twice, applies your rules for prices and offers across channels, and shows the margin each channel actually leaves you. With both problems, the two can be scoped as one engagement.

How do returns and RTO show up?

In the books, a customer return is a sale reversed: it is posted against the original sale so revenue and GST come down, and the marketplace usually recovers the refund from a later settlement. An RTO — a parcel returned to origin without being delivered — appears differently in each marketplace’s reports, so the voucher used for returns and for RTO is settled with you and your CA on the scope call.

In stock, both matter more than they look. Returns and RTO handling is part of Stock Sync, so a unit that comes back finds its way into the stock number every channel sells from, instead of sitting in a corner of the warehouse while the listing shows it as sold out.

What is not included?

Neither package manages your listings, advertising or account health on Amazon or Flipkart, and neither prepares GST returns. E-invoices, e-way bills and GSTR-1 and 3B data preparation belong to a separate package, GST & E-Invoice Automation, from ₹30,000. If you sell from fulfilment centres in several states and hold more than one GSTIN, how those registrations map to companies or ledgers in Tally is agreed on the scope call, before anything is built.

FAQ

03
What does Amazon to Tally integration cost?

Tally Integration & Automation starts at ₹12,000 and is delivered within 30 days; it posts marketplace sales, fees and settlements to TallyPrime. If you also need one stock number across channels, Retail & Marketplace Stock Sync starts at ₹50,000, also within 30 days. Your fixed price arrives in writing after a 15-minute scope call.

How do I record Amazon sales in Tally?

As gross sales with their GST, not as the net amount Amazon pays you. Each order, or a daily summary of orders, becomes a sales voucher; Amazon’s fees become expenses with their GST; returns reverse the sales they belong to; and the settlement is a receipt that clears the balance. The connector posts this from Amazon’s data, so nobody re-types it.

What is TCS on marketplace sales?

Tax collected at source. Under GST, marketplaces such as Amazon and Flipkart collect tax on the sales made through them and deposit it with the government, and the seller can claim it as a credit. Because it is deducted before the settlement is paid, it needs its own ledger in Tally, or the marketplace’s balance never quite clears.

Do we need Stock Sync if we only sell on Amazon?

Probably not, if Amazon is the only place that stock is sold. Stock Sync earns its place when the same units are on sale in more than one channel — Amazon, Flipkart, a shop counter, your own site — and a sale in one has to reduce what the others show. With a single channel, Tally Integration & Automation on its own may be enough.

Does it work for Flipkart as well as Amazon?

Yes. Flipkart’s sales, fees and settlements are posted to TallyPrime through the same kind of mapping, with their own fee heads and ledgers, and Flipkart is one of the channels Stock Sync keeps in step. The reports each marketplace offers differ, so the exact files or data used for each are confirmed on the scope call.
