Who reads these numbers, and what do they ask?

Investors ask about runway and the path to profit. Lenders ask whether covenants are being met. The board asks which products and channels are earning their keep. This package is built around those questions: one CFO view of cash and runway, profitability split by product and channel, and the KPIs and covenants you report on, monitored in one place.

It is most often built for professional services and e-commerce businesses: companies with outside investors or lenders who expect a regular, consistent update, where the same numbers are asked for every month and the finance team would rather not rebuild them each time.

How does the monthly investor pack get made?

The investor reporting pack is a template filled from the same data as the dashboard, so figures are not copied across by hand each month. What turns numbers into an update is the commentary: the commentary workflow lets the right people add the explanation alongside the numbers, and sign-off records who approved the pack before it goes out.

Chasing explanations and approvals over email is what turns a reporting pack into a week of work. With commentary and sign-off in one workflow, the pack follows the same steps every month, and the person who approves it sees the numbers and the explanations together before anything goes out.

What does covenant and KPI monitoring cover?

Loan agreements often carry financial covenants, such as ratios or minimum balances the borrower has to stay within, and investors may agree a set of KPIs to be reported. The dashboard tracks the ones in your agreements, so a covenant close to its limit is visible early rather than found when the lender asks. Which covenants and KPIs are tracked comes from your documents and is set on the scope call.

Receivables and collections tracking sits alongside, because runway depends on cash actually collected rather than on invoices raised. A customer who pays late shows up in the collections view before the gap reaches the bank balance, which leaves time to chase the payment or plan around it.

What is it not, and which package fits instead?

It is not a virtual CFO service: the founder does not act as your finance head, write your commentary or sign off your pack. The package builds the dashboard, the template and the workflow; the judgement stays with you. It is not a planning model either: working out next year with drivers and what-if cases is the FP&A & Cash-Flow Model (₹25,000).

If there are no investors or lenders to report to and you want management MIS, with P&L, balance sheet, ageing, branch views and a 13-week cash forecast, the Finance MIS & Cash-Flow Dashboard at ₹45,000 is the closer fit. For Tally data in Power BI and nothing more, the Tally → Power BI Dashboard starts at ₹15,000.

FAQ

04
What does a CFO dashboard cost?

The CFO Dashboard & Investor Pack starts at ₹25,000 and is delivered within 30 days. It covers the dashboard, the investor pack template and the commentary workflow; the covenants and KPIs it tracks come from your own agreements. Your fixed price arrives in writing after a 15-minute scope call.

What goes into the investor pack?

The pack is a template built from the dashboard’s own data (cash, runway, profitability, collections and your agreed KPIs) with commentary and sign-off attached. Its exact sections follow what your investors already ask for, so bring a past update or the reporting list from your investment documents to the scope call.

How is runway worked out?

Runway is how many months your cash lasts at the current net burn. The CFO view shows cash and runway side by side; how burn is measured, which months and whether expected collections count, is agreed with you on the scope call, so the figure means the same thing every month.

What if some sales data lives outside Tally?

Profitability by product and channel depends on how sales are recorded. If that detail lives outside Tally, in a store or a marketplace for example, bringing it in is scoped on the call and written into the proposal, so the channel view is not limited to what Tally happens to hold.

Does the pack get sent to investors automatically?

No. The template produces the numbers, your team writes the commentary in the workflow, and sign-off is the step where the approver confirms it. Distributing the pack is not in the feature list, so when and how it goes to investors stays with you.
