What changes for your accounts team, and what stays the same?

The software stays the same. Your team opens the same TallyPrime, with the same companies, ledgers and vouchers, and your CA works in the Tally they already know. What changes is where it runs: on a cloud server, AWS in the listed stack, instead of one machine in the office. The books become reachable from the office, from home or from the CA’s own desk.

The everyday jobs people worry about are part of the setup. Invoices still print on your printer, and e-way bills can still be generated from Tally. The server is sized for the number of people who use Tally at the same time, which is settled on the scope call.

Who can see the books once they are online?

Only the people you set up. Access is role-based, so the owner, the accounts team and your CA can each be given what their work needs instead of sharing one login, and access is recorded for audit. The multi-user licence is configured on the server to match the people who will use it.

Nightly encrypted backups mean a failed hard disk or a stolen laptop in the office no longer takes the books with it. Uptime monitoring and a support SLA are part of the package; what the SLA covers is agreed on the scope call, before anything is set up.

What is not included in the move?

The TallyPrime licence itself is not part of the price: the package configures the one you hold. Moving data from other accounting software into Tally is not part of it either. The running cost of the cloud server follows from its sizing, so we go through that on the scope call, before anything is set up.

It is a move, not a rebuild. Connecting your CRM, store or portal to Tally is Tally Integration & Automation (₹12,000), and dashboards on Tally data are the Tally → Power BI Dashboard (₹15,000). Either can be scoped against the cloud server once it is live.

How long does the move take?

Up to 7 days from the signed proposal, as on the package card. As on every engagement, you work directly with the founder, on a shared board, with a working demo, so your accounts team can try the cloud Tally with its own companies before anyone switches over, and the first day on the new server is not the first time they have opened it.

FAQ

04
What does Tally on cloud cost?

Tally on Cloud Migration starts at ₹7,000 and is delivered within 7 days. The running cost of the cloud server follows from the sizing agreed with you, and we go through it before anything is set up. Your fixed price arrives in writing after a 15-minute scope call.

Do we need to buy a new Tally licence?

Buying a licence is not part of this package; it configures the TallyPrime licence you already hold for multi-user access on the server. Whether that licence suits the number of people who will use Tally at once is one of the things we check with you on the scope call.

Can our CA log in from their own office?

Yes. Your CA gets their own login with the access their work needs, set through role-based access, instead of waiting for someone in your office to send a backup or an export. Their access sits under the same audit as everyone else’s, and it can be changed or removed from the server.

How are backups handled?

The server is backed up every night, and the backups are encrypted. If something is deleted by mistake or the office machine fails, there is a recent copy of the books that does not depend on any one computer in the office. How long backups are kept is agreed on the scope call.

Will printing and e-way bills still work?

Yes. Printing invoices on your office printer and generating e-way bills from Tally are both part of the setup, so the jobs your accounts team does every day carry on from the cloud server. Which printers need to work is listed with you on the scope call.
