Payment gateway integration, from checkout to Tally

The details
01Is a gateway integration just a payment button?
The button is the easy part. A working integration has to confirm that a payment really succeeded before an order or booking is confirmed, which gateways do by sending your server a signed notification, a webhook, that the server verifies instead of trusting the customer’s browser. It has to cope with payments that fail, time out or are abandoned halfway, and on a store it has to raise the GST invoice the customer receives.
Then the money has to be accounted for. The order total on your site, the payout in your bank and the entry in Tally are three different records, and until something ties them together, someone matches them by hand at month-end. That matching is the part the Tally package on this page takes over.
Which package fits your site?
If you sell products, E-commerce Build (₹50,000, up to 3 months) builds your own store, with checkout through Razorpay, Stripe or cash on delivery, a GST-compliant invoice for every order, abandoned-cart recovery and a back office for stock and orders. If a theme-based Shopify store is enough, Shopify Store Setup (₹15,000, up to 30 days) lists Razorpay, UPI and COD checkout among its features.
If you sell time — appointments, classes, consultations — the Booking & Appointments Site (₹15,000, up to 30 days) takes online payment or pay-at-venue against slot and capacity rules, handles reschedules and cancellations, and sends WhatsApp and SMS reminders. The gateway it uses is agreed on the scope call.
How do gateway settlements reach Tally?
Tally Integration & Automation (₹12,000, up to 30 days) connects to TallyPrime over its XML or ODBC interface and posts sales and receipt vouchers, with parties and items mapped to your ledgers and GST fields validated before anything is posted. For gateway money, the settlement is what matters: one payout, many orders, fees already deducted. The mapping records the sales, the fees and the payout separately, so the difference between them is explained in the books rather than left as a gap.
A daily reconciliation report shows what has and has not matched, and anything Tally rejects goes to an error queue with retries and alerts instead of disappearing. Which gateway reports the connector reads, and whether it posts one receipt per payment or one per settlement, is agreed on the scope call and written into the proposal.
What if your numbers already don’t match?
If gateway reports, the bank and Tally have disagreed for months, connecting them now will not explain the old gaps. The Drift Audit (₹49,000, 2–3 weeks) is built for that situation: it follows the money from gateway to bank to books, finds where and why the records part company, and gives you a ranked list of fixes before anyone quotes for building anything. It is the better starting point when you do not yet know where the difference comes from.
What is not included?
Gateway charges are set by Razorpay, Stripe or whichever provider you use, under their own terms, and sit outside these prices; so does opening and verifying the gateway account itself, which the provider does directly with you. Other gateways, such as PhonePe or Cashfree, are not listed in these packages; if you need one, it is scoped on the call.

FAQ
03What does payment gateway integration cost?
It depends on where the payment happens. Checkout comes inside a build: the Booking & Appointments Site starts at ₹15,000 and the E-commerce Build at ₹50,000. Posting gateway settlements into Tally starts at ₹12,000 with Tally Integration & Automation. Gateway charges are the provider’s own. Your fixed price arrives in writing after a 15-minute scope call.
Can you add Razorpay to our existing website?
None of the three packages on this page is a stand-alone gateway add-on for a site built elsewhere; each builds checkout as part of a new store or booking site, or works on the accounting side. If you want a gateway added to the site you already have, describe it on the scope call and it will be scoped and quoted in writing.
Will customers be able to pay by UPI?
On the E-commerce Build, checkout runs through Razorpay, Stripe or cash on delivery, and Razorpay’s checkout offers UPI alongside cards and netbanking. Shopify Store Setup lists Razorpay, UPI and COD checkout directly. On a booking site, the payment options follow the gateway chosen on the scope call.
Why don’t gateway payouts match our daily sales?
Because a payout is not a day’s sales. Gateways settle in batches on their own schedule, deduct their fees and the GST on those fees first, and can hold back amounts for refunds or disputed payments. The daily reconciliation report in Tally Integration & Automation shows what has and has not matched, so the difference is explained rather than written off.
Do we need the Tally package if the gateway has a dashboard?
The gateway’s dashboard shows what it collected and paid out; it does not post anything to your books. If your accountant keys settlements into TallyPrime by hand, or reconciles bank credits against gateway reports in a spreadsheet, the Tally package is the part that replaces that work.
