Who we are
makinforu.com is the website of MakinForU (by Nousdhi Systems), a founder-led business based in India and run by Lakshya Pratap Singh. In this policy “we” means MakinForU and Nousdhi Systems, which issues our invoices. We decide why and how the personal information described below is used, which makes us the data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Until that Act's notice and rights provisions come into force, in stages with the last due by May 2027, India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and its 2011 security-practices rules apply.
The legal entity that contracts with you for work is named in your written proposal and on your invoice. To reach us about anything in this policy, write to lakshya@makinforu.com or call or message +91 85339 81853.
What we collect, and why
We collect only what we need to answer you, plan a call, do the work you hire us for, and keep the site working.
- Call requests (the “Book a call” window, and the booking block on the home page): your name, your WhatsApp or phone number, your email address if you give one (the home page block asks for it, with your company and role), what you want to talk about, the time you prefer, your browser's time zone, the display currency you had selected, the page you were on, and any campaign tags or ad click ID from the link you arrived through. “Book this call” sends these details to our server and tells you once they have arrived. If you choose WhatsApp instead, they are sent to our server at that moment, before WhatsApp opens, so we hear about your request even if you close the draft. We use them to reply, schedule the call and prepare for it.
- Shortlists, product requests and quick-call slots: these open your email app or WhatsApp with a message written for you, which may include the packages or products you chose and their prices. When you use a WhatsApp button we also copy the message to your device's clipboard, in case the draft opens empty. We receive the message only if you press send. Our analytics does count the press and may record the address of the button's link, which holds the message we wrote for you (the package name, any calculator selection and the campaign tag) but never your name, number or other contact details. What you choose in a price calculator is kept in your browser, and so is the scope you build in the price estimator on the services page (the options you tap there are also counted by our analytics, as described below; nothing you type is). That selection is added to an enquiry or a call request only when you send one: the enquiry form and the call window show it first and let you remove it. A WhatsApp button you press while a selection exists adds it to the message it writes for you. Anything you type into the search and filter boxes stays in your browser.
- Automatically, on every visit: your IP address and the approximate location derived from it, your browser, device and language details, the pages you view, how you arrived (including campaign tags and ad click identifiers in a link, such as utm_source, gclid or fbclid), and your clicks on contact, social and demo links. We use this to keep the site working, see which pages help, and see which campaigns bring enquiries.
- Enquiry forms on service and product pages: your name, your WhatsApp or phone number and, if you add them, your email address and a note, with the page you were on, your browser's time zone, any selection you made in one of our calculators, what you picked in the page's step-by-step price card (the packages, add-ons and inclusions you kept or removed, the starting total shown and the call time you chose, or that you prefer a WhatsApp reply), and any campaign tags (including the search term an ad matched) or ad click ID from the link you arrived through. They are sent to our server when you press the button, and we use them to reply to you.
- What you write to us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- This website does not take payments, and it does not ask for card, bank or government identity details.
Your consent
When you submit a booking form or send us a message, we use the details you give for the purposes above: replying, scheduling and preparing for your call, and delivering work you hire us for. The booking window links to this policy. Website analytics is separate: see “Cookies and browser storage” and “Choosing not to be measured” below. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us.
Who receives your information
We do not sell personal information. We share it with others only where you ask us to, where it is needed to deliver work you have hired us for, where the law requires it, or with the services below that make the website work.
- Vercel hosts the website and runs the small server function that receives booking requests. Its servers may be outside India, and it keeps standard server logs of requests.
- MakinForU Panel, the analytics service we run ourselves, receives booking requests and enquiry forms (with your IP address, the approximate location derived from it, your browser, device and language details, and, when you give an email address, a profile made from your name, email, phone number, company and role, so the request joins the pages you viewed). It also counts page views, the site you came from and clicks, receives the same events described under Google Analytics below, and emails us when a booking arrives.
- Google Analytics measures visits, including page views, clicks on contact, social and demo links, use of the price estimator, which packages or products you add to a shortlist or basket and the basket total, the display currency you pick, which step of a page's price card you reached and the names of the packages chosen there, and, when you book, the topics and time slot you chose (we do not send your name, email, phone number, note or anything else you type). It sets cookies, and its events carry the campaign tags and ad click ID from the link you arrived through. Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- WhatsApp (Meta) receives the message when you use a WhatsApp button and press send.
- Hostinger provides our email and the server that runs MakinForU Panel, so it holds email you send to lakshya@makinforu.com and the booking, enquiry and analytics records described above.
- The 3D globe on the home and industries pages loads some public images from threejs.org (or unpkg.com if that fails), so those hosts see your IP address. Its map of the Earth comes from our own site.
- Live exchange rates are fetched by our server from public rate providers. No visitor information is sent to them.
- Links to LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Product Hunt and our live demo at tradeview.makinforu.com take you to services with their own policies.
- Advertising tags. When we run paid campaigns, the site also loads Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tags. They set cookies and record that an ad click led to an enquiry. While ad measurement is on, sending an enquiry form or a call request also sends Google a scrambled (hashed) copy of the email address or phone number you gave, so the enquiry can be matched to an ad click if there was one. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, unless you accept the cookie notice, the Meta tag does not load, and the Google tag sets no cookies and sends no hashed contact details.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not set cookies ourselves. Google Analytics sets its own cookies, with names starting _ga, to tell one visit from another; they last up to two years. When we run paid campaigns, the Google Ads and Meta tags set their own cookies too (for example _gcl_au and _fbp). We also keep seven small items in your browser:
- mfu.attr records the campaign tags and advertising click IDs (such as utm_source, gclid, fbclid) and the first page of a link you arrived from. We ignore it after 90 days, and each new tagged link restarts the 90 days. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it is stored only once you accept the cookie notice.
- mfu.currency remembers the display currency you picked, until you change it.
- mfu.rates holds the most recent exchange rates so prices show instantly. It is replaced whenever a page loads new rates and ignored after six hours.
- mfu_qc remembers that you dismissed or used the quick-call card, so it stays away for three to thirty days.
- mfu.consent remembers your cookie choice, until you change it.
- mfu.pick holds what you chose in a price calculator or the price estimator, so the enquiry form on that page or the next one can show it and send it with your enquiry. It is kept for the current browser tab only, and is removed when you send an enquiry or a call request, when you remove it in the form or the call window, or when you close the tab.
- mfu.intro remembers that the opening animation on the home page, or the loading bar on the services page, has played, so it does not play again on your next page. It holds no information about you, is kept for the current browser tab only, and is removed when you close the tab.
Choosing not to be measured
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked first: measurement and advertising cookies stay off unless they accept. Elsewhere they are on when a page opens. Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time here: Cookie settings. Our own Panel counts page views without cookies either way. To have booking details or an analytics profile tied to your email address deleted, write to lakshya@makinforu.com. You can also clear the items above in your browser settings.
MakinForU is based in India and works with clients in other countries too. We decide whether to ask from your device's time zone, so if you are travelling you may see the notice, or not see it; the Cookie settings link above always works.
Use of AI tools
We use large language model tools from established providers in our own work. This website does not send your booking details or messages to an AI provider. We will not put your credentials, your customers' personal data, or information you have told us is restricted into an AI tool without telling you first and agreeing it in the proposal. The Terms of Service say more about how we work.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records and the related email until we no longer need them to reply, to deliver work you hire us for, and to follow up, and then we delete them. We keep records the law requires, such as invoices, for as long as it requires, and server logs for the period the law requires. If you ask us to delete your records we do, unless the law requires us to keep them or we still need them for the purpose they were collected for.
Where it is processed
Vercel, Google, Meta and Hostinger run infrastructure in several countries, so information may be processed outside India. We use established providers and do not send personal information to anyone else outside the list above.
How we protect it
The website is served over HTTPS. Booking requests are checked and rate-limited before they are passed on, and access to our analytics service and mailbox is limited to the founder and the service providers listed above. No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you and the authorities where the law requires.
Your rights
India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you the rights below. Its rights provisions come into force by May 2027, and we already handle requests on these lines:
- ask for a summary of the personal information we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
- ask us to correct, complete or update it;
- ask us to erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it or we still need it for the purpose it was collected for;
- withdraw your consent at any time (this does not undo what was done before, and we may not be able to continue a service that needs the information);
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot act for yourself;
- raise a grievance with us and, if we do not resolve it, complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
How to use your rights, and who to complain to
Write to lakshya@makinforu.com from the address you used with us and say what you would like. We will reply promptly and resolve your request or grievance within 30 days.
Grievance Officer: Lakshya Pratap Singh, founder, lakshya@makinforu.com, +91 85339 81853. If we have not resolved your concern within that time, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once its complaint process is open.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not aimed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when what we collect, or who we share it with, changes, and we will change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so on the site.
