What replaces the month-end MIS spreadsheet?

When MIS is a spreadsheet rebuilt every month from Tally exports and bank statements, it is out of date the day it is finished, and it depends on whoever knows which cells to paste into. This package replaces the rebuilding with pipelines: Tally and bank data flow into Power BI, and the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow are produced from them rather than pasted in.

The board-ready monthly pack comes from the same data, so the numbers in the meeting are the numbers on the dashboard. Which bank accounts are included, and which cost centres and branches get their own views, are settled on the scope call and written into the proposal.

What does the dashboard actually show?

Tally holds the transactions; the dashboard arranges them for decisions. Receivables ageing shows who owes you what and for how long, next to payables ageing for what you owe. Cost-centre and branch views split the P&L the way the business is run, so a branch or department pulling the total down is visible without anyone building a pivot table.

The 13-week rolling cash forecast looks ahead week by week at what is due in and what is due out, and where the bank balance is heading over roughly the next quarter. Because it rolls forward, it stays a near-term view you act on, rather than a once-a-year budget.

Which finance dashboard package fits?

If you need sales, receivables, stock and P&L from TallyPrime and nothing else, the Tally → Power BI Dashboard at ₹15,000 is the smaller build, with daily refresh and owner and CA views. This package adds bank data, the balance sheet and cash flow, payables ageing, cost-centre views, the 13-week forecast and the monthly pack.

If the question is what next year could look like, the FP&A & Cash-Flow Model (₹25,000) is built for budgets, drivers and scenarios. If the audience is investors or lenders, the CFO Dashboard & Investor Pack (₹25,000) adds covenant tracking, an investor reporting template and a commentary sign-off.

What does the dashboard not do?

The dashboard reports on the books; it does not keep them. Bookkeeping, closing entries and reconciliations still happen in Tally, and the dashboard is only as current as the entries there. Budgets and scenario planning belong to the FP&A package, not this one. Data sources beyond Tally and your bank, such as a CRM, a marketplace or a second ERP, are scoped on the call if you need them.

FAQ

What does a finance MIS dashboard cost?

The Finance MIS & Cash-Flow Dashboard starts at ₹45,000 and is delivered within 30 days. Tally and bank data are the two sources the pipelines are built for, and Power BI is the listed dashboard tool. Your fixed price arrives in writing after a 15-minute scope call.

How is a 13-week cash forecast different from a cash-flow statement?

The cash-flow statement explains what happened to cash in a past period. The 13-week rolling forecast looks ahead, week by week, from what is due in and due out, and moves forward as each week passes. The first tells you where cash went; the second warns you about a tight week before it arrives.

Can we see each branch and cost centre separately?

Yes. Cost-centre and branch views split the P&L and related numbers along the lines your books already use. If branches or cost centres are not recorded consistently in Tally today, raise it on the scope call, because the views can only split what the books record.

What goes into the board-ready monthly pack?

It is drawn from the same data as the dashboard, so it can include the P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, ageing and the cash forecast, laid out for a board or management meeting. Its exact contents and layout are agreed on the scope call, so it matches what your board already expects to see.

How current are the numbers?

As current as the entries in Tally and the bank data behind them. The pipelines replace the monthly rebuild, and how often they refresh is settled on the scope call. Tally has to be reachable when a refresh runs, so if it sits on an office machine, the schedule is planned around when that machine is on.
