The details

Which package handles which part of a trip?

A consignment touches four places: the depot it leaves, the road, the customer’s door and the office that bills it. The packages line up with those:

  • At the depot: Distribution & Logistics ERP (₹1,60,000, up to 3 months) holds stock per warehouse, records transfers between depots so stock in transit stays visible, plans trips and assigns vehicles.
  • Paperwork: GST & E-Invoice Automation (₹30,000, up to 30 days) creates and updates e-way bills and generates e-invoices from your own data. Document & Data-Entry Automation (₹16,000, up to 30 days) reads PDFs and scans such as LRs and supplier invoices, checks them against your rules and posts them into your ERP or Tally, sending low-confidence items to a person for review.
  • On the road: the Field Workforce App (₹1,65,000, up to 3 months) gives drivers and field staff their jobs in route order, a checklist per job type, and photo, GPS and signature proof that is saved offline and synced later.
  • At the customer’s door: digital proof of delivery is part of the logistics ERP, and damages and returns are recorded against the trip they belong to.
  • After delivery: the Customer Self-Service Portal (₹25,000, up to 30 days) lets customers see their shipments, invoices and payment history and raise tickets with an SLA view, instead of phoning.
  • Accounts: Tally Integration & Automation (₹12,000, up to 30 days) posts vouchers into TallyPrime; a Tally sync is not a listed item of the logistics ERP itself.

Which trips and depots make money?

Freight and hamali, the charge for loading and unloading labour, are costed against each trip in the logistics ERP, alongside the goods moved. Depot-wise profitability reports then put each depot’s revenue and costs on the same basis, which is the question a register rarely answers: what a route or a depot actually earns.

Detention charges and alerts when drivers’ documents are about to expire appear among our logistics builds, but they are not listed items in this package. Raise them on the scope call if you need them, so they are priced into the proposal.

What about live GPS and route optimisation?

Neither is in the listed scope of these packages. The Field Workforce App records location as proof at each job, not as continuous tracking through the day, and jobs come in the route order a supervisor sets rather than an order calculated automatically.

If your vehicles already carry GPS devices, tell us on the scope call which ones. Reading their data into your system is scoped and priced in writing, rather than promised before anyone has seen what the devices send.

Where should a transport business start?

If the problem is stock and trips, start with the logistics ERP. If it is drivers and paper PODs that come back days late, the Field Workforce App may come first. If customers keep phoning about deliveries, the customer portal is the smallest step, at ₹25,000. A Workflow Automation Sprint (₹14,000, up to 7 days) automates one painful process, such as a daily trip report, in a week.

Manufacturers that run their own fleet should also look at Manufacturing ERP and the manufacturing page: if production is the harder problem, that is the closer fit; if what happens after goods leave the factory is harder, the logistics ERP is.

FAQ

03
What does transport management software cost?

Distribution & Logistics ERP starts at ₹1,60,000 and the Field Workforce App at ₹1,65,000, each delivered in up to 3 months. Smaller steps: the Customer Self-Service Portal from ₹25,000 and GST & E-Invoice Automation from ₹30,000. Your fixed price arrives in writing after a 15-minute scope call.

Does it generate e-way bills?

GST & E-Invoice Automation does: e-way bill creation and updates, IRN and e-invoice generation, and GSTR-1 and 3B data preparation, all from your own data. E-way bills are not part of the logistics ERP package itself.

Can drivers use it without signal?

Yes, in the Field Workforce App. Entries, photos and signatures are saved on the phone in a sync queue and sent when the connection returns, so a delivery can be closed where it happens.

Can customers track their own shipments?

The Customer Self-Service Portal includes order and shipment tracking, invoice and payment history, ticket raising with an SLA view and document downloads, synced with your ERP or CRM. Live map tracking is not a listed item.

We run a small fleet. Is an ERP too much?

It may be. A Workflow Automation Sprint (₹14,000, up to 7 days) automates one process end to end, and Internal Tools & Portals (₹45,000, up to 30 days) replaces a trip spreadsheet with a web tool that captures photos and signatures offline. The scope call is where the right size is decided.
