The details
02What happens to a document once this is live?
A document lands in a watched inbox, scan folder or drive. OCR reads it and extracts the specific fields you need — party name, document number, dates, amounts — rather than dumping the page as a block of text. Each field is then checked against validation rules you agree with us: do the figures add up, does this customer or supplier already exist in your system, is the date plausible?
Documents that pass are posted into your ERP, CRM or Tally. Documents that fail a rule, or where the extraction is not confident, go to an exception queue, where a person checks them and approves or corrects the entry. Low-confidence items wait for review rather than being posted on a guess.
How will we know the extraction is accurate?
Accuracy is monitored per document type, because a clean printed invoice and a photographed delivery note do not behave the same way. Instead of one headline number, you can see which document types extract reliably and which keep landing in the exception queue. That tells you where to trust the automation, where a person should stay in the loop, and where it is worth asking senders for cleaner copies.
Which documents are a good fit?
Documents that arrive often and carry the same kinds of fields each time: purchase orders, invoices, delivery challans, lorry receipts, client forms. The package is most often built for logistics, manufacturing and professional-services teams, where the same few document types are keyed in every day by people who would rather be doing something else. The document types and the fields for each are settled on the scope call and written into the proposal.
What is not included, and when is another package better?
This package reads documents into the systems you already run. It is not a replacement ERP or CRM, and building one is a separate package. Extraction runs on OCR and LLM APIs; if a paid model or OCR service is used, the provider bills that usage separately from this price, and what your document volumes mean for it is covered on the scope call.
If your documents are vendor invoices that also need matching against purchase orders and goods receipts, an approval matrix and a payment file, Accounts Payable Automation, from ₹45,000, covers that flow. If the data already sits in another system and only needs to reach Tally, Tally Integration & Automation starts at ₹12,000.

FAQ
04What does document and data-entry automation cost?
Document & Data-Entry Automation starts at ₹16,000 and is delivered in up to 30 days. It covers intake from email, scan and drive, OCR with field-level extraction, validation rules, the exception queue, posting into your ERP, CRM or Tally, and accuracy monitoring. Your fixed price arrives in writing after a 15-minute scope call.
Can it read scanned or photographed documents?
Scanning is one of the three intake routes, alongside email and a drive. OCR reads the image, so quality matters: a clear scan gives it more to work with than a faint or skewed photo, which is more likely to fall below the confidence line and go to human review. Which formats you send is settled on the scope call.
Can it post straight into Tally?
Yes, posting into Tally is one of the listed targets, alongside ERP and CRM. TallyPrime accepts vouchers over its XML interface; which voucher types, ledgers and fields are mapped is settled on the scope call. Validation runs before anything is posted, so an entry that fails a rule, such as a ledger Tally does not have, waits in the exception queue.
Will someone on our team still need to check documents?
Yes, but only the ones that need it. Items the extraction is unsure about, and anything that fails a validation rule, go to a person for review. Everything else is posted without being retyped. Over time, the per-type accuracy monitoring shows which document types still need that attention and which rarely do.
Is our document data sent to an AI model?
It can be. The stack includes LLM APIs alongside OCR, so document content may be sent to a model provider for extraction. Which provider is used, and what leaves your systems, is settled on the scope call and written into the proposal before any of your documents are processed.
