What usually goes wrong when a CRM is moved?

Three things. Fields do not match, so a status in the old system has no home in the new one and ends up dropped or pasted into a notes field. Duplicates multiply, because the same customer was entered by three salespeople in three spellings. And activity history is left behind, so the new CRM knows who a customer is but not what was said to them.

Three of the package’s items answer them in turn. Field mapping and an audit decide where every old field goes before anything moves; deduplication and normalisation collapse the three spellings into one record; and historical activity is imported, so the history travels with the customer instead of staying in the old system.

How do we know nothing was lost?

By checking rather than assuming. The package includes a parallel-run validation week, in which the old and new systems are compared side by side on the records your team actually works with, so gaps show up while the old system is still there to check against. Snapshots are taken and a rollback plan is written, so a bad surprise means going back, not starting again.

Once the data is settled, the team is retrained on the new setup: where things now live, which fields changed, and which old habits no longer apply. Moving the data without moving the people is how a side spreadsheet quietly comes back into use.

What is not part of the migration?

This package moves and cleans CRM data; it does not design or build the CRM you are moving to. If you need the destination set up as well, Sales CRM Starter (₹18,000, up to 7 days) covers a new pipeline, and Custom CRM Setup (₹95,000, up to 3 months) already includes data migration from existing tools as part of a larger build.

Data outside the CRM — accounts, inventory, an old ERP — is a different job. Data Migration & Quality (₹15,000, up to 30 days) is built to move that kind of data once, correctly, with proof that nothing was lost. The source and destination CRMs themselves are confirmed on the scope call.

FAQ

04
How much does CRM data migration cost?

CRM Migration & Cleanup starts at ₹9,000 and is delivered in up to 7 days. Come ready to name the system you are leaving and the one you are moving to, and roughly how much history you hold, because that is what the scope call works through. Your fixed price arrives in writing after a 15-minute scope call.

Which CRMs can you migrate from and to?

The stack on the package card is Postgres and Zoho. Most CRMs can export records as CSV files or through an API, which is where a migration usually starts. Your specific source and destination, and how their data comes out, are confirmed on the scope call and named in the proposal.

Who decides what counts as a duplicate?

You do, with us. Deduplication rules — same phone number, same email, the same company spelt two ways — are agreed with you before anything is merged. Because snapshots are taken before the move, a merge that turns out to be wrong can be undone rather than lived with.

Will our call and email history come across?

Historical activity import is part of the package, so past activity moves with the customer record rather than being left in the old system. How far back to go, and which kinds of activity the new CRM can hold, is agreed on the scope call and checked again during field mapping.

Can we switch back if the new CRM does not work out?

Yes, if validation turns up something serious. The package includes a rollback plan and snapshots, so going back means restoring what you had rather than rebuilding it. The decision to roll back is yours, taken with us, on the strength of what the parallel-run week shows.
