Data engineering services: move your data once, or keep it flowing

Two data engineering packages. Data Migration & Quality starts at ₹15,000 and is delivered within 30 days: data moved once, cleaned, and reconciled to show nothing was lost. Data Pipeline & Warehouse starts at ₹1,75,000 and takes 3 months or more: a governed, documented warehouse, refreshed nightly.

One-off migration or ongoing pipeline?

A migration is a one-way trip: data leaves an old system, is cleaned on the way, lands in a new one, and the old system is retired. That is Data Migration & Quality. Choose it when you are changing systems, merging records from two businesses, or clearing out years of duplicates before a new ERP goes live.

A pipeline keeps running: every night, data flows from each source into one warehouse, where it is modelled, tested and documented for reporting. That is Data Pipeline & Warehouse. Choose it when several systems each hold part of the truth, and every report starts with someone combining exports by hand and hoping the columns line up.

What are the signs you need data engineering, not another report?

A few are easy to recognise. Two reports built from the same business give different totals, and a meeting goes on deciding which one is right. Month-end involves someone matching figures between systems in a spreadsheet. A new report takes weeks because the data has to be found, exported and cleaned first. An old system is being switched off with years of records inside it.

The first three point towards a pipeline; the last towards a migration. If you cannot yet tell where the numbers part ways, start with a diagnosis: the Drift Audit (₹49,000, 2–3 weeks) produces a system map, a reconciliation analysis and a drift register showing where and why your records stop agreeing, and only then is anything quoted.

What do the two packages have in common?

Both treat data as something to check, not trust. The migration compares source and destination with row and value reconciliation reports and runs the old and new systems side by side for a validation window; the pipeline tests each modelled layer and monitors freshness and quality, so a source that stops updating is noticed.

Both use dbt, which keeps the transformation logic in one place instead of scattered across spreadsheets and reports. And both leave a data dictionary behind — the pipeline adds lineage, showing which sources feed each number — so the next person to ask what a field means gets an answer from a document instead of from memory.

Where does this sit next to dashboards?

The warehouse is the foundation; the dashboard is what people look at. Once the data is in one place, the Business Intelligence Dashboard (₹45,000, up to 30 days) is the natural next layer, reading from tested models instead of raw exports. The dashboard then only has to show the numbers; it no longer has to repair them on the way in.

If the only data you are moving is a CRM, the smaller CRM Migration & Cleanup package (₹9,000, up to 7 days) is likely the better fit. It is built for a change of CRM platform specifically: historical activity comes across along with the records, and it ends with your team retrained on the new setup.

FAQ

What do data engineering services cost?

Data Migration & Quality starts at ₹15,000 and is delivered within 30 days. Data Pipeline & Warehouse starts at ₹1,75,000 and takes 3 months or more. Warehouse and cloud running costs are billed by those providers, separately from our price. Your fixed price arrives in writing after a 15-minute scope call.

Do we need a warehouse to have good dashboards?

Not always a separate one. The Business Intelligence Dashboard already models its data in Snowflake and dbt as part of the build, which can be enough when the data sits in a few spreadsheets or systems. The larger pipeline earns its cost when many systems each hold part of the picture, or the same data feeds several teams’ reports.

Can you migrate first and build a pipeline later?

Yes, and the order can make sense: the migration cleans and deduplicates the data and hands over a data dictionary, which is useful groundwork for any pipeline that follows. The two are separate packages with separate prices; if you expect to need both, say so on the scope call so the proposal accounts for it.

Which tools do you use?

The pipeline package lists Snowflake for the warehouse, dbt for modelling and tests, and Terraform to define the infrastructure as code. The migration package lists Postgres and dbt. If you already run a warehouse or database you want to keep, tell us on the scope call and it is considered before anything is quoted.

Can different teams see different data?

In the warehouse, yes. Access control by role is one of the six parts of the Data Pipeline & Warehouse package, so finance, sales and operations can each see the data their work needs. The data dictionary and lineage then show everyone what each field means and where it came from.
